christmas is a comin’
I know - it’s not even December - but hey - if you want to buy this in time for festive fun you need to know about it NOW. Santa needs to go to rehab - ho ho ho. Bad ass santa!

who fought them anyway…
Space invaders. Who fought them anyway. I get bored with lengthy back stories as quickly as anyone, but I don’t even know the name of the guy, platoon, team?? doing the shooting. Thats a disgrace. Call myself a gamer! I vote we call him derek - unless anyone else knows better.
Anyway - look what derek is up against in this shirt from nerdyshirts! A kind of mega invader made up of 100s of regular invaders. Eeeek!

Talking of space invaders - tell me you don’t love this!
the five buck tee
How they do it I’m not entirely sure - but bumpnose.com are trotting out tees for $5 flat. At that price you don’t even have to think about it - do you. If everyone priced like that I’d literally be dying under a pile of shirts! I couldn’t resist. Some of the designs are a bit formulaic - but the odd stroke of genius makes them worth a visit. And man - five bucks! I mean what can you buy for five bucks.

tee party
The Tee Party. Nice name for a teeco. Currently one of the better spreadshirt based sites from a design / usability viewpoint - they are looking to go it alone soon. I think they have designs strong enough to make the move worthwhile.
You could do worse than buying a couple of shirts to let them know it’s worth it. They are running a $10 sale at the moment, so do some Xmas shopping.

I’m interested to know what customers think of spreadshirt sites from the buyers point of view. I’ve found it pretty good overall - but heard some complaints. Let me know.
Back to tee party - I especially like the dino tee - closer below.

Rock Hair Tee Competition
A new twist on the Tshirt competition. This time instead of designing one or taking a pic of yourself in one, you have to guess what’s ON a tshirt. Over to the designer at No Demo. “This is by no means a comprehensive collection of the history of Rock N Roll hairstyles. This is just a collection of a few that I thought were interesting and noteworthy. I am willing to give a free shirt to the first person who can name all the people on the shirt. (some are kinda odd ball picks (and not technically “Rock N Roll” to the purists) so I really don’t think anyone will figure them all out).” I like the idea. Show him some love, have a guess!

big cat little cat
Threadless just got less boring - with a big cat close up made up of tiny cat … far ups! Hurrah.
T shirt cannon
Fun stuff to do with Tees. Make projects rule, if only I had time to make more of them. Christmas is a great time for it though - avoid the relatives by hiding in the garage building ballistics. Fun.
never mind the blocks t-shirt
I love tetris. I haven’t played it since 1998 though - I daren’t. I get all addicted and start trying to layer up TRAFFIC waiting for a bus to slide down the edge. It gets serious. It gets dangerous. And batteries for Gameboys cost too much. I recently bought the ‘ants playing Tetris’ tee from threadless which rekindled this ‘world tetrissing’ habit, so why not continue! Never mind the Blocks from Way of the Rodent. Joyously brilliant tee, although it always bugs me when Tetris designs have broken blocks - I know it’s possible, but my brain hurts when all the pieces aren’t whole. Rodent have some other great tees too - all pretty geeky / gamer.

bike fish
The bike t-shirt obsession continues thanks to bikefish from districtcotton. I like the variety of bikes used in the design, and the general fishy goodness. The subtle impending death feel is also just edgy enough to warrant a saturday outing. Gotta keep it edgy on the weekend.

Stag / Hen / Batchellor (ette)
Sitting on my train last week I was suddenly aware that about 8 guys had sat nearby wearing yellow tshirts. The same yellow. This was slightly creepy, a little like being surrounded by henchmen in some bad sub-007 thriller. On closer inspection they all had their names on the back of the shirt. Well, I say name, mostly it was what I guessed to be part of their surname with ‘ie’ added. ‘Hendie’, ‘Pressie’, ‘Giggsie’ etc… It was a stag party, obviously.
The shirts themselves were dull however. Just a photo of, I presume, the groom with a pair of boobs photoshopped where his chest should have been. Comedy gold. As luck would have it, I spot a googlead in Gmail for Piggi. At last the stag attending tee-fan can hold his head high.

The idea is simple, and the execution pretty slick. Take ‘KILL BILL’ poster, turn it into a tshirt, and replace BILL with the grooms name. Killer.
There must be more places specialising in this stuff - know of any? Let me know!
Raleigh Vektar
I’ve spotted the bouncing ball around a few of the blogs, but hadn’t seen this Vektar shirt before. If you know not the Vektar, head over to youtube. now. Buy the shirt here. Then find a bike on ebay and become an 80s legend.
