wear this tee today

This is what I’m wearing today. Well, it’s not. Because I don’t have one of these lovely, simple shirts. I’m a fan of the teetonic tees, having bought a few in the past. The print on the paclove tee was a little plasticky - but the others have all been flawless and printed on top quality tees.

When we get live ink on shirts ( like a book reader - where little liquid crystal puddles roam about on your shirt under the instruction of a little wifi enabled cpu in the tag ) this could say ‘this is what I wore yesterday’ or ‘wear this tomorrow - you haven’t worn it for days and it looks great with those new Gap jeans’. And when you do your laundry it could say ‘top drawer, middle pile’ o help you put it away. Wow - live shirt ink will rule! That and flying cars.

Oh - and be sure to visit the homepage on teetonic to check if their 50% discount code is still available!

gender equality at last

For far too long the world of tshirt design, along with many of the other fine arts, has been bogged down by gender stereotypes and inflexibility. A scientist hell bent on decimating the world cat population you say? Must be Male. A scientist researching some esoteric property of DNA which could stop the zombies getting us? Must be female. And hot.

Luckily for us when it comes to the moon, that most feminine of astral bodies, you can take your pick thanks in large part to wearscience.com and their innovative gender selector. I’m not talking the cut of the tee here - I’m talking the cut of the hair of the mad scientist ON the tee. Hurrah! Let the countown commence.

Great time to buy too because they are doing a ‘Just Call Me Santa‘ 20% off sale until the 15th. Coupon code: AMORPHIAROCKS

joy of life

Wow - I love green tshirts. They make me feel alive. They make me feel like a field - covered in cows eating clover. The very embodiment of a nice spring morning. This shirt even has live upon it! How double impact! Hurrah!

Get your significant other a red shirt to wear when you wear this for the festive season. To be covered with festive red and green goodness.

T-shirt chart for December 2008

The last OMG teeco chart of the year, and an interesting one. We deliberately kept it back a couple of days so we’d catch all the blogging about Black Friday sales - and BOY did it make a difference. Threadless off the top spot and 20 new entries in the top 50. There are about 100 extra teecos covered by the full chart this month - which is amazing (well, I think it’s pretty amazing!). Well done to Linty Fresh - obviously working the PR magic with the highest new entry!

As a reminder, this chart monitors all the tshirt blogs and watches which sites they link to from their homepage posts.

For the data geeks out there mintelligence made one change to the chart algorithm for us this month - removing more paid / affiliate / streetteam style links from the counts. This hit Threadless pretty hard - as they appear in most blogger sidebars with a streetteam tag. But I think this makes for a more interesting chart, actually reflecting the coverage new tees get, rather than the baseline popularity of a site.

I’d love to know if you have a gut feel that a teeco got more coverage than is apparent from the chart - so I can better check the results.

robot rebellion

When I was a kid I recall thinking that a machine that could turn a comic into a tshirt, or a bike into a chair would be awesome. You know the kind of thing - you start with a bike, and press the ‘comfy seat’ button on the machine. It makes the saddle bigger and comfier, and moves the cranks and handlebars out of the way a bit - maybe makes one of the pedals bigger so that it’s a small table for your bioscuits and glass of milk. Like a Dali version of the calvin and hobbes transmogrifier.

Anyway - this tshirt reminded me of that. LIke someone dropped a comic into that machine and pressed the tshirt button.

Oh and you can save some cash - from their mailing list “save 10% with Code: JUPITER (expires 11/16/2008). And remember, all November long, our First Class shipping is only $5 no matter how many tees you buy.”

space invaders

I love space invaders. You can keep your PS3 - give me a vcs2600 any day. And not the fancy new model, the old one with the plastic wood and the metal switches. Mmmmm 2600.

I’d prefer a slightly muddier take on this shirt, something that looks like it was printed back in the day, those whites are a little crispy for me. But hey - it’s space on a shirt!

wwf? lovin’ the animals!

WWF / WTF - same difference? I got all confused when they changed their name from world wildlife foundation to world wildlife fund and then dropped the world bit and just decided to be WWF. Internationalisation! Confuses everything. Cute logo though! Nice mash from tshirtbordello.

shirts n shorts

The ladies haven’t been being looked after on OMG recently.

My apologies to the fairer sex! Expect some help over the coming weeks. To start things off - Effin Effigy have a VERY cool bike shirt to encourage you into a sporty life of pedalling victory. And once you win that 50Km race around town one sunday, some shorts to wear on your victory lap. Hurrah! Summer cycling - can’t beat it.

cute deceased r2

This has to be the most adorable starwars tshirt yet. From glenzz.

robots tshirt to end all robot tshirts

You love robots. I can state that without fear of contradiction. What’s not to love. Anyway - here for your wearing pleasure is an amazing silhouette effect tee from the fine guys at chopshop featuring every robot you ever heard of. Go on - name one that’s not featured that anyone cares about. I dare you!

Peace Gear Girls

One of the best tees of last year, the Peace Gear, which I proudly wear on bike days whenever I get the chance, is now available in Ladies cut! Hurrah. So cyclechicks - get em while their hot.

A whole bunch of other cool new stuff at Art in the Age. I’m not into shiny gold overprinting - but hey!

pirate ace of spades

This is a uneetee shirt, so be quick. Guy sizes are nearly gone, but the girls have a better chance! Pirates and the ace of spades. Who could ask for more! Pure joy!

wrong spade

I’m loving the latest batch of twisted cartoon and gamer characters at wrongwroks. This one is like a teeshirt realisation of a nightmare you have after a night of late night cheese, late night poker, and early evening mario. Pure genius!

drm sucks

Don’t you just love it when corporate types get all hip and free. DRMless downloads at amazon are one thing. But cool Tees to mark the occasion - hypercool. More here, via Boing Boing.

schwag again

Boy the first month of the year disappeared quick didn’t it. Schwag packages now mark the months for me - which is nice. This month - Mashable. I didn’t bother taking any pics as I think someone else got that covered a little better than I could. Gotta love those potatos!

cathode green

I sometimes want a shirt just because the color has a cool name. Take note. Calling a tee print ‘cathode green’ almost guarantees I’ll be buying. Home sweet home. And it’s been a while since I geeked out properly. An IPT! Yay
