yackfou all new
Free shipping worldwide. Now if only every teeco did that. YackFou have relaunched their website, and I love the change. English translation just about everywhere makes things much more straightforward for the none German speaker.
The designs are pretty illustrative and scary - the farty monster below rules!

Ever wondered what Ladies L, Gents XL, or Guys M looks like. Wonder no more. Yackfou brings you VIDEO tshirt sizing! Video sizing guys. How cool is that. And I love the attitude on the site - how many other teecos have this in their profile page “In principle we don´t really have a clue what fashion is about.”
And yes. If you flip the y and the f you get a well known phrase or saying.
A better tomorrow
More news from Germany. Today I’ll introduce to you (in case you don’t know them already): A Better Tomorrow (referred to as A-B-T hereafter). A bit more than an online shop, A-B-T runs a design contests where fine T-shirts with a kind of unique style emerge. It also works as a distribution platform for small labels and has an interactive aspect to it. In short, it is where German design goodness meets. The site doesn’t speak English (yet), but you should all be able to find the word “T-Shirt” and click on it. I’ll just let the T-Shirts speak for themselves - and the company. One of its founders, André Grünhoff, was kind enough to answer me some question for the new Interview section in my German “Shirtspotting” Blog.

Thanks again, and here he is in his own words after the fold:

Real good stoff from the flea market
I happen to live in the best city that Germany has to offer. Of course I’m talking about Berlin. All T-Shirt-Maniacs could easily shop themselves into their financial ruin - there is so much creativity to see (and purchase), all those little stores and boutiques that often sell self-made stuff that isn’t available anyhere else. Not surprisingly so many companies and artists settle there, especially in the flourishing inner regions of East Berlin such as Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain.
For all people ever planning to visit Berlin as a tourist (and you really should) I’d like to recommend one place I visited again yesterday and I could visit every sunday: the flea market at the Mauerpark.

The name “Mauerpark” comes from “Mauer” which means “wall” - and in this case it is THE (in)famous Berlin Wall. Eighteen years after its downfall the last remains and reminders of a brutal and injust regime are long gone, instead the former “Todesstreifen” (death zone) has been transformend into a very popular and much frequented park and since a few years there’s a huge flee market every sunday. It’s always crowded as hell, but even though I usually feel uncomfortable in huge crowds I like it a lot. Maybe that’s because of the overall ambiance which is very relaxed after all.

Doing good will make you look good
First up a big warm happy tee clad welcome to our new German correspondent Markus. Markus runs a kickass T shirt blog in German called Shirt Spotting, and is going to bring the best of German speaking tshirts to OMG Tees. Over to you Markus!
A big new thing in consumer world is called “LOHAS”. Ever heard of that? This is short for “Lifestyle of Health and Sustainable Development”. The thought is: by carefully chosing the products that you buy you can make a difference. And the striking success of American Apparel clothing proves that a) there is a huge interest out there in buying “politically correct” products and b) there has to be no contradiction in fashionable and ecologically and ethically approvable products.
Now a German company called “armedangels” has set out to bring great design, ecology, ethical fashion and social products together.
The shirts at www.armed-angels.com are all made of organic Fair-Trade-cotton, so there is a strict and certified No Sweatshop-policy - and it’s eco-friendly at the same time.
The angels go even further and donate 3,33€ to social projects with every product sold. Currently the benefits go to hospital and school projects in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. More projects are to follow.

Now this is fine, but it wouldn’t be worth much if the shirts themselves were crappy. So let me tell you: they look absolutely great. Their logo, the angel is an example of great design - and now picture him in gold shining from a brown shirt: yummy. To assure only the best shirt designs are printed, the site shows design previews, and the customers and visitors have the opportunity to give their opinion on them as “Style Scouts”.
Still they all look great, like these:

Lots more pics at their Flickr here. Shirts are from 29.99€ onwards, a fair price for good clothing for a good cause.
